The Schweinfurter Hütte is located in the middle of the Ötztal mountains with a magnificent panorama view. The hut is very favored in summer for many mountain hiking tours and in the winter for ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking. Hiking path:Parking: parking lot Sennhof Niederthai (next to the Information office)Start the hike at parking lot Sennhof in Niederthai. The Ramolhaus is located at 3.005 m, high above Obergurgl and was built in 1881 by mountain guide Martinus Scheiber.The completely refurbished hut offers a fantastic view to the Gurgler glacier, who is just within one's reach from there.ATTENTION: The hiking path to the Ramolhaus is partialy covered in snow.
