The via ferrata "Eckkamm" runs through the west face of the so-called "Eckkamm" at 1620 meters near Huben in the Ötztal valley. The elongated ridge of this ridge extends southwards from Huben and is forested at the base of the wall as well as in the exit area. Both to the entry point and the exit, a trail called the "Sagenweg" leads from Huben. At the saddle south of the exit lies the managed "Alpengasthof am Feuerstein," with a chapel and a viewing platform nearby. The "Eckkamm" via ferrata ascends from the lower left to the upper right through the approximately 200-meter-high rock face, which is partially covered with trees and vegetation, and has about 160 meters in elevation gain. The difficulty of the via ferrata is mainly in the A and B range, with some sections reaching B/C. The climb takes about 1.5 hours. Many passages run horizontally or diagonally upwards to the right. The ascents over various "ramps" are generously equipped with step irons. There are three rope bridges, two rope ladders, and a small resting bench. The via ferrata is perfectly secured and has only a few short steep sections, making it particularly suitable for beginners. As the wall faces west, there is the opportunity to climb in the shade in the morning, especially during the hot summer months. The via ferrata has been additionally equipped with a special safety system designed to enhance safety, particularly for beginners. A so-called push carabiner (available at the climbing and mountaineering shop "Alpintreff" in Unterlängenfeld) is threaded into the system and pushed along throughout the entire via ferrata. This additional push carabiner prevents unintentional unclipping of the entire via ferrata set, except at two points. At these two prepared interruptions, other climbers have the opportunity to overtake others using the same system.

Experienced climbers can also use a conventional via ferrata set.
