Explanation
SÖLDEN -> MARIA'S ALM -> SÖLDEN
You can park in Sölden directly at the Giggijochbahn or you can park in the center at the parking lot P4 (Postparkplatz).
You can start the hike from the Giggijochbahn valley station. From the hamlet of Hainbach you walk over the Kreuzweg to the hamlet of Grünwald. You continue on the steep, marked forest path to the former Edelweißhütte. When you arrive at the Edelweißhütte, you can continue to hike along the wide forest path to the Maria's Alm.

Turn-by-turn directions
Option 1: You hike from Sölden to the Giggijochbahn valley station. From the hamlet of Hainbach you continue on the Kreuzweg into the hamlet of Grünwald. Then you continue on the steep, marked forest path to the Edelweißhütte. When you arrive at the Edelweißhütte, you can continue to hike along the wide forest path to the Maria's Alm.
Option 2: Ascent with the Giggijochbahn to the Giggijoch mountain station, then you take the newly created hiking trail to Sonnblick, from there you continue your beautiful hike to the Maria's Alm.
Walking time approx. 1.20 hours
Public transport
Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination.Please find the current bus timetable here:http://fahrplan.vvt.at
Directions
The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads.
