AREA 47 - Pappboot Challenge

You, two or three friends, and a homemade cardboard boat.

We’re looking for the Cardboard Boat Extreme Champion of the Universe! Here’s how it goes:

1. Build your cardboard boat:
   Each team will receive the same amount of cardboard and tape at the material distribution. Everyone starts building at the same time. The boats must be big enough for two people. You can also bring:

• Empty plastic bottles
• Decorations for your boats (e.g., inflatable figures)
• No small items, sharp objects, or anything that stains, etc.

1. Prove your boat's speed and water-readiness:
   Before hitting the water, you'll present your boats to us. After our expert judges evaluate the style of your creations, we'll test their waterworthiness and speed. You’ll need to complete a set course in the Water AREA. Two people can sit in the boat during the qualification. It’s a mass start - whoever crosses the finish line first gets the most points. But beware! To qualify for the final, at least one person must cross the finish line sitting and dry in the boat!

2. Now comes the EXTREME part:
   Finalists will have a 15-minute pit stop to fine-tune their boats. Then, it’s straight to the Water Ramp where we'll test how well your boats fly . For the jump, only one person from your team is allowed in the boat. Jumps will be judged in three categories: height, distance, and style.

Just you and your cardboard boat? Not enough! Teams must consist of 2-4 members.
