Survival in the 'Eternal Ice'

Discover the art of creating a secure sleeping spot in the snow! Experienced guides will lead you step-by-step in building your own igloo.

Minimum Participants: 4 people (Groups can be combined if necessary).

Schedule:

• 10:00 AM: Meet at the Panorama Restaurant, Acherkogelbahn Mountain Station in Hochötz.
• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Learn techniques and start constructing your igloo.
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch break at the Balbachalm.
• 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Finish building the igloos.
• 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Conclude with a drink at the Snow Village.

What to Wear:

• Layered, winter-appropriate clothing.
• Sturdy, waterproof boots.
• Thick socks, thermal underwear.
• Warm gloves and a hat.
• As warm as possible — the workshop takes place at 2,000 meters in the mountains!

For Overnight Stays in the Igloo, Also Bring:

• Spare gloves.
• Extra hat/head covering.
• Extra socks.
• Spare underwear.
• Optional: A second pair of shoes.
