Stuiben Trail - 42K

The start of this challenging trail run takes place in the center of Umhausen at an altitude of 1,036 meters. After one kilometer on asphalt and along the waterway path, participants reach the foot of the Stuiben Falls, where 728 spectacular natural and steel steps await, set against a stunning backdrop.

Passing the first refreshment station and arriving in Niederthai, there is some time to recover before the first real challenge begins: a steady steep ascent over the Rauhen Bichl toward the Narrenkogel. Upon reaching the Narrenkogel, runners can enjoy the panoramic view before descending on a challenging single trail across the mountain meadows.

At the valley floor, there is an opportunity to refuel at another refreshment station before the next adventure awaits: a beautifully scenic trail leads from Grastal to the Mahdebene at 2,392 meters, from where they continue to Brand at 2,283 meters and then descend back to Niederthai.

After another ascent to the lower Hemerachalm, participants face another downhill stretch of 5 kilometers and 700 meters of elevation loss. Upon reaching the chapel at Nösslach, they head toward Wiesle and back to Niederthai. Once there, they tackle the Rauhen Bichl again, heading toward Höfle and Bichl for the next refreshment station. Here, the last reserves are needed for the downhill stretch back to Umhausen.

The final section of the race runs along the Steppsteig toward Stuiben Falls until reaching the Stuiben Nannele, where the witch creates a real gust of wind for the last 1,500 meters into the village center and the finish line.
