Training Grounds

From April to October you can show off your skills at the valley’s entrance. Three very different trail loops await you where the bike elite have been meeting for cross-country races already for decades. From the easy WIDI beginners' trail to the snappy Wolfspack Trail, the routes are getting increasingly tougher. Very convenient: start and finish are always in the same place, where you can also clean your bike and recharge your own batteries.

Combine your bike tour along the Ötztal Cycle Trail with a detour to the E-bike Park at the valley station of Acherkogel mountain gondola in Oetz. The 1.5 km long course is all about a sense of balance, correct braking and cornering techniques and overcoming small obstacles. Different difficulty levels on the practice course help you get to grips with e-bike handling. Also uphill on the Uphill Flow Trail through the forest!

Whether it's a balance bike, hardtail bike, e-bike or fully: at the mountain bike playground near the village center of Umhausen, it doesn't matter which bike you ride or how much experience you have. (Small) children and beginners in particular have a lot of fun on this course. As a practice, training and - above all - fun area, it offers a perfect opportunity to get fit for off-road cycling without any pressure.

In Sölden you have two pump tracks to choose from. The larger one called Rollin' is located at the Gaislachkogl valley station, making the ultimate meeting point. Here you can ride circles and hang out with the community. The Sunny pump track on the east side of Ötztaler Ache is ideal for children. Small trail loops with various obstacles promote all important skills and promise noticeable and quick learning success. In Oetz you will find the pump track directly on the Ötztal Cycle Trail. Its gravel surface is the perfect terrain to prepare you for off-road biking. Very close by: the Sattelfest practice trail and the e-bike course.

Die Trails rufen, aber du hast noch etwas Bammel? Kein Problem, für Newbies wie dich haben wir die Kniffe des Geländes im Ortszentrum von Sölden nachgebaut. Das „Skill Center“ bietet Möglichkeiten zum Kurventraining, eine Dropbatterie für erste Sprünge sowie einen flachen Übungsplatz, um die Brems- und Kurventechnik zu verfeinern. Auch leicht Fortgeschrittene können hier im sicheren Rahmen an den Details feilen.
