Ötzi Village
In Ötzi‘s footsteps
Once you have been to Ötztal you can hardly avoid the Iceman - the fascination has been too great since its discovery in the ice of Similaun Glacier in 1991. Ötzi's lifetime was then reconstructed at the Ötzi Village in Umhausen. There you can follow in Ötzi's footsteps and explore the Stone Age with its inhabitants, customs, ways of life and work.
Fascinating Stone Age
In Umhausen’s Ötzi Village you can immerse yourself deeply in the largest archaeological attraction of the entire alpine region. Prehistoric buildings, ancient hunting and working tools as well as domestic animal breeds from prehistoric eras provide interesting insights. You can also get active yourself - by making fire with stones, giving archery a try or baking bread according to Stone Age recipes.
